1. Many things require waiting to achieve good results. However, waiting does not mean doing nothing. All good outcomes require both continuous effort and patient waiting. A writer must write continuously to await the day of a masterpiece; a scientist must research persistently to await the arrival of luck. Waiting is not a static state, but a process of continuous action, ultimately awaiting the blessings of fate.
2. Some people are moved to tears by a car full of red roses, while you coldly remark that it's a waste of money. Some are terrified of a cockroach and seek help, while you just want to swat it with a slipper. When others move house and call for help, you refuse to bother them and choose to carry the heavy loads yourself. This lack of empathy might be why connection feels so difficult.
3. Everyone is like a clown juggling five balls: work, health, family, friends, and soul. Of these, only "work" is made of rubber—if it drops, it bounces back. The other four are made of glass—if they drop, they shatter. So, while you should work hard, you must cherish your family, health, friends, and soul even more.
4. When faced with a pile of apples, people care less about the total amount and more about how many they personally receive. When faced with a workload, people care less about the task itself and more about how much extra they have to do. The world would be simple, but it becomes complex due to interest. The human heart is originally pure, but becomes muddied by the struggle for gain.
5. The sudden clarity of life often arrives with the first light of dawn. Every day, someone departs, and every day, someone returns. Do not dwell on departures, nor rejoice excessively at returns. If the soul is like a shadow, there is no distinction between coming and going. If life has meaning, we will meet again despite the distance. Everything stems from the heart; a peaceful heart is a Buddha's heart.
6. Do not make life seem too difficult; be grateful that you are still in this world. Through the vicissitudes of life, everyone experiences wandering, sorrow, and the melancholy of rain or the desolation of falling moonlight. However, a limited lifespan does not allow us to waste time on bitterness. Only after enduring the frost and haze can one emerge from the cocoon into the sunshine. After the prosperity fades, peace remains; after the noise subsides, tranquility returns.
7. When you see through things, you understand how to act; when you see through human nature, you understand how to interact. But seeing through everything might lead to apathy, or even a desire to withdraw from society. Therefore, just put your heart into life and accept what comes. It may be hard to ignore the words of others, but remember: their mouths belong to them, but your life belongs to you—it is a gift of self-support and self-affirmation.
8. Young women should not easily expose excessive "tastes" or pretenses, as taste reflects one's inner character. Trying to please others through affectation often leads to a lack of true charm. However, a modesty that flows naturally from one's temperament is truly the most endearing form of grace.
9. Life often leaves us speechless. A smile might hide helplessness; tears might be a release; pain might be a stir of the heart. We seek scenery after a long journey because memories are etched deep; we cry when remembering someone because they have become part of our lives; we fall silent when singing a song because it is hard to let go. In the storms of life, remain calm.
10. Strength brings power; achievement brings status. In a market economy, the weak are often pushed aside, and on the political stage, tears are rarely believed. Instead of being angry at life, strive to make yourself stronger.
11. On the journey of life, relationships naturally fade over time. People arrive, and people depart. As one story ends and another begins, you realize that some people are meant to accompany you for only a part of the way, not for a lifetime.
12. Praise behind one's back is silver, but criticism to one's face is gold.
13. Hope is fire, and disappointment is smoke. Life is the process of lighting the fire while the smoke rises.
14. Melancholy and lonely women are often at the mercy of marriage and fate.
15. Just as nature has its seasons, life has no eternal winter. Tell your feet, aching in the snow: spring is just ahead.
