Hello! I am grateful for the opportunity to apply for this scholarship. After a year of hard work in my freshman year, I feel truly encouraged to have a chance to receive it.
The courses in my freshman year were very demanding. Especially in the first semester, I had to study anatomy, histology, biochemistry, physiology, and other unfamiliar subjects, which was quite challenging. These are crucial foundational courses, and I had to master them. The schedule was almost fully packed throughout the week, which was initially hard to adapt to. In the second semester, studying took up most of my time, and these courses were difficult, requiring even more dedication. I was pleased that my final grades were generally good. I initially worried about histology, since it was my first university exam, but I passed, and other courses were also satisfactory, although my English score was a bit low. Even though my pharmacology grade was not ideal, and I thought the scholarship might be out of reach, my overall score met the requirement. Receiving this scholarship is an encouragement for my efforts. Although I am now in my sophomore year and should focus more on professional courses, the scholarship recognizes my dedication in the first year and is a highlight of my university life, motivating me to continue striving.
I have always believed that as a student, one must excel in studies. I do not favor half-hearted efforts. For the sake of learning, I gave up many other activities, dedicating most of my energy to professional courses. Being able to receive the scholarship now shows that my hard work has paid off, which deeply moves me. Next, I will provide a detailed introduction to my other circumstances:
