If a person only focuses on the shortcomings and inadequacies of others, a blind sense of superiority will eventually develop, which is truly dangerous. Similarly, constantly comparing others' strengths with one's own weaknesses is also misguided. There is no direct comparison between merits and flaws; the right approach is to absorb excellence from others and correct one's own deficiencies, striving to improve bit by bit every day. Ultimately, it is our own efforts, not the mistakes of others, that lead us to victory.
Simply put, 10% of life is beyond our control, while the other 90% is within our control.
To my [xx]-year-old self, and my [xx]-year-old self, I am sorry. Even though you have been scarred, I kept pushing, criticizing, and harming your body to force you to grow and take on challenges. But one day you will understand that everything I did was for you. The two-year gap may be the main reason for your scars, but despite this, I know you have done very well. You must always believe in the future.
The world is like a giant circus; it excites you, yet fills you with trepidation, because I know that after the show ends, there is always: limited warmth, and infinite heartache.
Life is half memory and half continuation. Between people, the heart is the destination, and the heart is also the horizon. In truth, there is no distance between the horizon and the destination, yet they are the furthest apart. The best way to avoid disappointment is to place no expectations on anyone or anything. Many people will accompany you, but very few will stay until the very end. There are so many things in life worth celebrating; do not fixate solely on the things that make you unhappy.
Life is like flowers blooming and fading, tides rising and falling; there is gain and loss, joy and sorrow. Those who always feel they have lost too much and are tormented by that thought are the truly unfortunate ones. Adjust your mindset like a ship adjusts its sails; once your mindset is right, happiness will gain value. In life, the problem itself is often not the issue; how you deal with it is the greatest challenge.
God finds Himself in creation.
Only those who know how to stop truly know how to accelerate. Watching others ski seems easy, as if one just slides from the top to the bottom. So, I tried skiing, only to end up tumbling down the mountain in a heap of bruises. I began to practice repeatedly how to stop on the snow and slopes. After a week of practice, I finally learned how to glide and stop on any slope. At that moment, I realized I had truly learned to ski and felt brave enough to charge down from the summit at high speed, because I knew that as long as I wanted to stop, I could stop instantly. Therefore, knowing how to stop is the prerequisite for moving fast.
In the beginning, rapport is a conversation—once spoken, it is understood. Later, rapport is a glance—once seen, it is clear. Finally, rapport is a belief—once thought of, it brings peace of mind.
Happiness must be accompanied by sadness, and clear skies follow the rain. If the rain persists after the rain, or if sorrow follows sorrow, let us face this parting with composure. Smile as you seek the one who may never appear again!
Distance is terrifying because you never know whether the other person is missing you or has forgotten you. Perhaps the most comforting thing in the world is to reunite with the self that was once lost. Everyone is a passerby; you are my passerby, and I am yours; we are all passersby of time. When you look back, that person has already been submerged in the vast crowd, so we have no reason not to cherish those around us.
To follow fate means realizing that everything in the world changes through the convergence and dispersion of causes and conditions; love, hate, success, and disgrace are all transient. Joy and suffering arise from fate; rather than being overwhelmed by extreme emotions over results, it is better to carefully choose between good and evil beforehand. Following fate means exerting one's utmost effort while accepting gains and losses as they come.
No matter when, you must believe: even though the cold wind howls in your ears, your soul will always have a place to keep warm. Relatives, friends, lovers, or even strangers, will provide kindness at unexpected times and places. People who were not meant to be on the same path may find themselves walking together; more tragically, what you thought was a mere passing encounter might turn into a professional companionship.
Good rain knows its season; it arrives when spring comes.
If you enter a profession solely for survival, you must seriously consider whether it is suitable for you and whether you have the determination to persist and cultivate interest. If you have no interest and are unwilling to invest time and energy to develop it, you are destined for poor results.
Life cannot be without hope; everyone lives within hope. If there are truly those living in a life without hope, they can only be called failures.
Be grateful to good people, be thankful for benefits received, and be moved by acts of kindness.
Your life can be a mess, but you cannot continue through it with a sense of 'indifference.'
We must learn to cherish every day, for the beginning of each day is the first day of the rest of our lives.
