The only difference between the sacred and the profane lies in whether one has the consciousness, perseverance, and purpose to refine the heart. The meaning of life lies in listening to the voice of your soul and becoming your most brilliant self. Dwelling on the pain of the past is using yesterday to erode the beauty of today and delay your future.
Life requires more inner peace. Tranquility is a way of living with composure and a companion of calmness. Fidgetiness and anxiety often go hand in hand. When facing distress, remind yourself: look up to the sky, and there is a path beneath your feet. As long as you are not in a hurry, everything will come in time. Life is supported by all its pressures and difficulties; as long as you do not let troubles cloud your vision, this ordinary life can still be lived well.
Life moves from toddler steps to schooling, striving for oneself, parents, or honor. Hard work brings praise, while failure brings mockery. Ten years of hard study, decades of struggle—once burning with passion for ideals, yet repeatedly frustrated by survival. Reality sometimes wears down one's sharpness and weakens the will, making dreams seem fragile. In a reality where it is hard to maintain faith, life often loses its conviction. Yet, life goes on.
Buddhism is actually a way of life; it is not found in scriptures or temples, but right by our side.
Do not overcalculate; let things take their natural course, for what is meant for you will eventually come to you. There is no need to suppress yourself, nor is there any need to flatter others. Maintaining your inherent integrity will win you more opportunities and respect. Do not be overly kind to anyone, nor overly unkind; never allow yourself to be exploited by a few.
