Life is finite. In a sense, we cannot extend our lifespan to an ideal length; therefore, our task is to enhance the quality of this limited journey and make it more meaningful.
Life is like a lit lamp that will eventually go out. Death is not a punishment from God, but rather a gift from fate. Just as we require sleep, we also require death. It is the dark backdrop of death that highlights the brilliance of life. Imagine if life were infinite—what meaning would existence hold? Death is not to be feared; it is simply a long sleep. Before that sleep arrives, we should cherish every day and reflect on what truly deserves our pursuit: is it material wealth and fame, or the clarity and peace of the soul?
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Do not despise small matters, for great achievements grow from tiny beginnings. Do not fear moving slowly, as moving slowly is far better than standing still. Do not envy others, for envy is a subtle admission of one's own perceived smallness. Walk your own path without looking sideways or backward, continuing to move forward steadily. Instead of asking about results, ask about your own dedication and effort; only those who do so can truly become achievers.
Blindly worshiping authority often blocks the flow of original thought. We frequently hear phrases like "as a certain celebrity said" or "as an expert pointed out." While the insights of famous individuals are valuable, blindly following them without critical thought—or even allowing them to constrain your mind—will lead you into intellectual errors.
