Life is limited, and we do not need too many attachments. Early life plans often seem beyond our control, usually arranged by parents. Time is the most beautiful witness in the years, while the years validate the beauty of time. Happiness can sometimes be within reach, yet at other times feel far away. Just when you think it is close, it can vanish in an instant.
Bad moods often stem from overthinking, but reality is rarely as bad as it seems. Life has its peaks and valleys; no journey is completely smooth. Learn to take things in stride, and also to let go. Taking things on requires courage, while letting go demands a generous heart. On countless nights, many people habitually close their eyes, quietly thinking of someone, remembering a familiar face.
Those who appear happy may hide unspeakable pains; those who smile often may have silent tears; those who flaunt their lives may not be as prosperous as they seem. True happiness is felt only by oneself. Therefore, do not be hard on yourself, and do not be tangled in others’ judgments. Live according to your own comfort. Happiness is like drinking water, known only by its feel—your happiness resides not in others’ eyes, but in your own heart.
The future will reveal itself in time. No one knows how destiny will unfold, and we often try to change it. As Steve Jobs said, “You cannot connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward.” One’s memory need not be perfect; life is short, so keep yourself healthy, happy, and fulfilled, and occasionally indulge. Life is like a road, where we must create blooming scenery even in desolate stretches.
