The Philosophy of Non-Measurement: Without contention, vital energy remains uninjured; without fear, wisdom shines brightly; without anger, the spirits are harmonious; without worry, the heart remains cool and clear; without seeking, one remains neither humble nor arrogant; without attachment, one can be both round and square; without greed, wealth and health are secured; without servility, what fear there is of kings! Height determines career; depth determines intelligence; width determines concepts; breadth determines thinking; speed determines efficiency; strength determines ability; angle determines direction; and scale determines success.

An uncontrolled life may seem poetic in a fleeting moment, but it ultimately brings withered vitality and pain. Life is a pleasant enjoyment only when it involves giving; life is a grounded existence only when it involves serving.

In dealing with others, it is better to offer praise than to cause harm. A kind word brings warmth in winter, while harsh words wound like a cold summer. Attacking others with words is a self-defeating act. Praising others appropriately brings joy to both parties. When you praise the achievements others take pride in, it is like offering a rose—the fragrance stays in your hand.

Meeting is the beginning of fate, knowing is the continuation of fate, and staying together is the destiny of fate.
