The musician Rubinstein often visited the studio of his friend, the painter Picasso. On one occasion, Rubinstein noticed that over several months, Picasso had been painting the same subject repeatedly: the iron railing of a balcony in the background, with a table, a bottle of wine, and a guitar in the foreground.
After Picasso had completed nearly fifty similar works, Rubinstein asked impatiently, "Don't you get bored of depicting the same still life every single day?"
Picasso retorted, "Don't you think you're talking nonsense? Don't you realize that I am a different person every minute, and every hour brings a new light? Although I look at the same bottle of wine every day, I can perceive different personalities within it, see different bottles, different tables, and different lives in different worlds! In my eyes, all of this is unique." From then on, even when playing the same song repeatedly, Rubinstein could evoke different nuances and flavors.
Reflection: If you embrace an open mind and learn to see things from different perspectives, you will discover that the world can be so beautiful, life so rich, and the spirit so fulfilled.
