Another method is to bring your attention back to the present moment. If you observe your thoughts, you will notice that what you think about is either in the past or in the future, and rarely focused on the present moment.
Everyone inevitably experiences some grievances; no one can always hold their head high. Life's path is difficult; bow your head when necessary, yield when required. Only by being flexible and resilient can your heart remain strong. Only by enduring grievances can one achieve greatness and truly defend one's dignity. If you explode like firecrackers at a touch or break like dry grass, that is not self-respect but self-devaluation.
In this world, there are talented “poor” people everywhere. They are highly skilled and knowledgeable, even possessing extraordinary abilities, yet why do they often end up impoverished and unsuccessful? Meanwhile, many without such talent achieve success and flourish. Life may be carried on the same two shoulders with one brain, yet the outcomes differ greatly.
Men never truly understand: she depends on you because she sees you as her only one; she calls often because she wants to hear your voice; she gets upset because she wants you to care for her; she feels jealous because she loves you and cannot tolerate any gentleness towards other women. Women’s tears express all their grievances, while their gentleness is reserved for you.
The path of life relies on your own choices step by step; what truly protects you is your own decisions. Life is made of sweet, sour, bitter, and spicy experiences, never completely smooth, and there is no need to force anything. Leave yourself some space; simplicity is true, and from serenity, one comprehends the essence of life. Be indifferent to praise or disgrace, watch flowers bloom and fall; let go of attachments, watch clouds drift across the sky.
When geese rest, one acts as a sentinel, taking turns, and cries out at the slightest disturbance. A hunter tried several times but failed. Then he devised a method: he approached the flock directly and hid when the sentinel cried. The flock repeatedly found no danger, vented anger on the sentinel, and attacked it in groups. The sentinel lamented silently; when the hunter approached again, it stayed hidden, yet more than half the flock was killed or injured. — Society is similar: loyal people are misunderstood, and the misunderstood may not persist.
All occurrences in life are like dreams; no one can possess them forever. One day, we must part with everything we once had. Even the most beautiful experiences eventually become mere memories; what we receive, even if unsatisfactory, is a gift from heaven. Face all experiences calmly, accept gains and losses peacefully, keep your heart full of hope and dreams, and learn to appreciate small but genuine satisfactions, so that each day can be filled with happiness!
