Ultimately, we live for ourselves. A gentle and generous person is merely more "fairly" selfish than an arrogant and domineering one; when both parties realize that the other's interests are no longer a priority, happiness comes to an end.
In this vast world of ups and downs and vicissitudes, everyone walks their own path. The road is unpredictable and full of obstacles, yet we must persevere through wind and rain to fulfill our aspirations and conclude the ties of fate. Whether life is long or short, we cannot—nor need to—escape the flow of time.
Every stage of life has its own baseline: in hardship, hold onto "contentment in poverty"; in success, hold onto "humility in high positions"; and in distress, hold onto "composure in low positions." Only by maintaining our principles can we continue moving forward.
We should strive and achieve something meaningful. This way, we can say we have not wasted our lives and may have left our footprints on the sands of time.
