Half a year has passed in the blink of an eye, and John and Smith have met once again at Moya Island. Upon arrival, however, they were shocked to find themselves in what seemed like a "Land of the Obese." While obesity previously affected only a third of the islanders, now almost everyone was severely overweight. After walking the streets for a long time, John and Smith couldn't find a single thin person; even those at a healthy weight were rare. What on earth was happening?

They quickly located their subordinates, only to find them sleeping soundly in the office, having noticeably gained weight themselves. After waking them, John and Smith questioned why they were sleeping during the day. The subordinates replied timidly, "We are sorry, but there is nothing else for us to do besides sleep! At first, several islanders came to collect weight-loss vouchers, but after that, no one came. We thought they didn't believe the notices, so we held several publicity meetings to explain weight-loss tips, but they still didn't sign up for the weight-loss cards."

Confused, John and Smith went into the streets to ask the islanders. A heavy-set man they stopped explained, "I wasn't fat before, but after seeing the weight-loss incentives, I found ways to gain weight so I could enjoy the benefits." John asked in confusion, "But you are already very fat, why haven't you signed up for the card yet?"

"Because I feel I can get even heavier," the man replied. "The first weight recorded will become the baseline. To get more benefits, I need to gain even more weight. Many people much heavier than me haven't gone to weigh themselves yet, so I'm in no hurry!"

It turned out that everyone was waiting to see when their weight would reach a limit, so they were all delaying their weigh-ins. John could only admit defeat. Although Smith had won the argument, he couldn't bring himself to feel happy...
