Storms and heavy rains strengthen and stimulate emotions; plants that grow under the pressure and shaking of wind and rain are much stronger than those grown in a greenhouse.
A great nation with five thousand years of history has finally risen. It is no longer a weed to be trampled upon, but a lush and towering tree; it is no longer a fledgling bird vulnerable to wind and rain, but an eagle soaring high in the sky.
Seeking knowledge without satisfaction leads to progress; contentment in life leads to happiness. Dissatisfaction leads to disappointment; failing to cherish what we have leads to pain; failing to value blessings leads to their loss; seeking wealth without talent leads to emptiness; neglecting health in pursuit of work leads to regret.
Whether joyful or sorrowful, all events eventually become past memories. In the ups and downs of life, no matter how much we forget, we must never lose our sincerity and conscience. Regardless of poverty or disappointment, always maintain a sincere heart when treating others; regardless of wealth or success, never lose your conscience. Not every deep affection leads to a perfect ending, and not every encounter blossoms into a beautiful landscape.
Meeting someone early or late matters less than having sincerity; whether friends are near or far, understanding is what brings warmth. Intense passion is not necessarily true love; steadfastness in simplicity is most precious, and peace in simplicity is most comforting. Leave everything to time, and answers will eventually come. We are all searching for someone to talk to—someone to share joy with, someone to share sorrow with. To be understood is the greatest comfort.
Give yourself back to yourself to find your true self. In the midst of a busy life, we might pause to reflect: who am I? where do I come from? and where am I going? Do not just rush forward and forget the direction you came from. We are only complete when our soul is with us. If we accidentally leave our soul behind on the road, we should slow down to let it catch up.
Many things in this world work this way. When you pursue something too intensely, it flies away like a butterfly. But when you clear your mind of distractions and focus on serving society or others, unexpected rewards will quietly greet you. Often, explanations are unnecessary—enemies will not believe your explanations, and friends do not need them.
