As the proverb goes, "Only by enduring bitter hardships can one rise above others." Throughout history, all great achievers have been tempered by hardship and grown through toil. For ordinary people, seeking a happy and fulfilling life also requires perseverance and endurance. Entrepreneurs must endure the exhaustion of constant travel; students must withstand the solitude of long hours of study; and workers must endure the fatigue of early mornings and late nights. Life's path is fraught with thorns, and things rarely go as planned. Only through perseverance can one cultivate true competence and experience the sweetness that follows bitterness. In essence, endurance is the most fundamental discipline in the art of living.
"Attacking the heart" refers to targeting the core leaders of a group. Generally, the "luring the tiger away from its lair" strategy is the most effective. A leader is like a tiger; when united with their troops, they are invincible. By finding ways to separate the leader from their followers, preventing any contact between them, one can isolate the leader and then strike the troops, leading to the rapid collapse of the team. This is reminiscent of the "songs from all four sides" stratagem, where Liu Bang broke Xiang Yu's spirit by destroying his psychological pillars, ultimately securing victory.
