Pass by with a smile. Facing time, former friends, and the future, words are superfluous; a single smile, an instant, a moment—everything changes, and all becomes well. A sudden breeze no longer belongs to me; it brushes my cheek like a parting kiss, without the agitation of a world turning upside down. The most beautiful memories remain in the heart, while the best version of oneself must be reserved for the gentle soul who accompanies us through life.
Never pretend to be doing well. Life is never perfectly smooth or flawless. Life is brief and full of storms; quietly paint a beautiful landscape in your heart, walk calmly, and find tranquility in simplicity. I will find my own joy, nourish my life, and remain unperturbed by wind or rain.
Impermanence is a fundamental teaching of the Buddha: nothing is eternal; everything is transient. Therefore, we have no reason to harbor so many worries. Even in the same river, nothing stays the same. With patience, as the leaves drift away and the silt settles, the water will become pure once more.
The heart is a candle in a dark room; if you do not light it, no one can. The heart is a lake in a forbidden garden; if you do not clear the silt, no one can. The heart is a window locked from the inside; if you do not open it, no one can. The heart is the sun traveling within; if you do not generate heat, no one can. The heart is a dream hibernating in the soul; if you do not fulfill it, no one can.
Maintaining connections is key to building and sustaining a social network. Those without social skills are like ships on land, forever unable to reach the vast ocean of life.
If you are in deep distress, do not worry; everything changes. If you are sailing smoothly, do not be conceited; everything changes.
Thought and fantasy are two stars running simultaneously. The difference is that Thought creates sparks, while fantasy merely wanders.
Life is more than just mellow wine, sweet honey, bitter fruit, or tearful clouds. It encompasses all tastes and emotions: sour, sweet, bitter, spicy, joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness.
In this vast world, life's troubles often follow us like shadows. However, as years pass, our experiences enrich us and deepen our spiritual insights. While troubles are inevitable, many are self-imposed, as the saying goes: "The world is naturally free of trouble; it is only the mediocre who trouble themselves." Therefore, when trouble arises, we should resolve it quickly. Do not let worries linger overnight; greet tomorrow with a brand-new self.
We are all like jugglers balancing five balls: work, health, family, friends, and soul. Only one is made of rubber—work—which bounces back if dropped. The other four are made of glass; if they drop, they shatter. We must know what is important and what deserves our devotion. Humans are social beings; none can exist entirely apart from society. While we need not please everyone, we should maintain good relationships.
Thoughts lose their fragrance bit by bit, and emotions fade through the vicissitudes of time. The heart breaks in a dream of the mortal world; having wandered so long, the traces remain deep and shallow, like the lingering scent of a withered rose. Yet, the flower remains as vibrant in the heart as ever, sculpted into a monument, remembering this lifetime, letting the heart run wild from this moment on.
Everyone has flaws, large or small. "As spring fades, beauty withers and passes away unnoticed." It was the scene of "flowers falling and flying through the sky" that shaped Daiyu's tragic image; Beethoven's musical breakthroughs came after his deafness, composing the soul-stirring "Symphony No. 5"; and there are those with physical disabilities who never gave up, achieving great things through willpower and perseverance.
To reach great heights, one must start from the bottom.
