There is once a fable: A scorpion arrived at a riverbank, wanting to cross to the other side. It tried to seek help from its friend, the venomous snake, but it could not swim. Just then, a frog swam by. The scorpion begged the frog to carry it across. The frog hesitated and said, "If you sting me halfway through, won't I lose my life?" The scorpion replied, "If I were to sting you, wouldn't I also lose my life?"
Thinking this made sense, the frog allowed the scorpion to climb onto its back. However, as they reached the middle of the river, the frog suddenly felt a sharp sting on its back. Unable to bear the intense pain, the frog slowly sank into the water, asking in agony, "Why did you do this?"
