Life is in my hands, not in heaven's; happiness comes from the heart, not from circumstances. A leash can only restrain a subdued horse, and the goddess of fate can only rule those who obediently let fate dictate their lives. Happiness is a sweet sensation that requires the heart to perceive.
Entering the Grand View Garden, Granny Liu felt joy, while Lin Daiyu felt sorrow. In the same passage of time, Emperor Li of the Later Tang dynasty lamented: 'How much sorrow can one possess? It is like the spring waters flowing eastward.' Su Dongpo sang boldly: 'The great river flows east, and waves wash away the heroes of a thousand ages.' Under the deep blue sky, with a full moon, some raise cups to invite shadows for a light drink, while others shed tears, homesick, believing the moon in their hometown is always the brightest. In reality, the scenery is no different; what differs is the mood. Do not let loss dominate our destiny. Give yourself a good mood, and the world will smile at you; give others a good mood, and life will smile at you.
Learn to keep yourself calm, let your thoughts settle, and gradually lower your desires for things. Reset yourself often, treating each day as a new beginning, regardless of age. As long as you moderately lower your desires, you will win more opportunities for success. I am most grateful to those who once looked down on me. My father solemnly told me: 'Child, from now on, you are no longer a genius. On the road ahead, I do not want anyone to hold you up in the clouds, but I hope you can lower your posture and climb to the heavens step by step through struggle and sweat.'
Your time is limited, so do not live for others. Do not be limited by dogmas, do not live in others' concepts, and do not let others' opinions silence the voice in your heart. Most importantly, bravely follow your heart and intuition, for only your heart and intuition know your true thoughts. Everything else is secondary.
