Do not let your mind be clouded by the trivial worries of life. Like drifting clouds passing over mountains, the world is but a dream. There is no need to cling to past glories, nor to excessively anticipate the sunlight of the future. Life is simply the solid path extending beneath your feet; there is no need to dress it up with excessive romanticism. To live is to face difficulties with a smile and brush them off with a laugh; if all else fails, you can always start over.
Life wavers between life and death. Since we are alive, we should strive to survive in the best possible way.
If your heart is small, all small things become large; if your heart is big, all great things become small. In matters of great importance or difficulty, it is about taking responsibility; in adversity or prosperity, it is about having a broad mindset; in joy or anger, it is about having self-cultivation; in gain and loss, it is about wisdom; in success or failure, it is about persistence. Let things follow their natural course; handle incidents with calmness; remain detached when successful; stay composed when disappointed. Hardships and twists are inevitable, and after enduring vicissitudes, one finds enlightenment. Drink the tea of purity and keep your mouth closed regarding right and wrong.
Time flies so quickly that memories fade. Life is like a journey, filled with hardships yet also scenic views. The range of your vision defines the realm of your life.
There is no eternal sorrow in life. Do not make it hard for yourself. Learn to let go, to release, to look at things objectively, and to think clearly. Tomorrow, the sun will shine brightly as before.
Instead of looking down on others, value yourself. View life with calmness and observe yourself with serenity.
As for status, it has nothing to do with me. Let them be their high-ranking officials, and I shall be a commoner. As a comedy sketch once put it, isn't the ultimate destination for everyone just that small box?
Don't claim you understand; what you understand is not my heart. Don't claim you understand; what I give you is my heart. Don't wait for those you shouldn't wait for, and don't hurt hearts you shouldn't hurt. Some people are destined to be passersby in our lives; some things often leave us helpless. Rather than shedding tears of sadness, face it with composure. Solitude is not necessarily unhappiness; gaining is not necessarily permanent; losing does not mean never possessing again.
