Long ago, there was a tiny speck of dust that longed to do something for others. However, because it was merely a grain of sand, people often looked down upon it.
One day, it traveled to the city and encountered a young girl. It asked kindly, "Beautiful little girl, is there anything I can do to help you?" But the girl replied angrily, "Get away! Don't get my new clothes dirty!" The little speck of dust left dejectedly. It faced rejection everywhere, and eventually, it began to lose heart. It kept wondering to itself, "Am I truly this useless?"
Yet, perseverance pays off. Heaven eventually witnessed its kindness and sincerity, and moved by its spirit, granted it a transformation. One day, the little speck of dust felt itself rising. It ascended to the clouds, where it met many others like itself. Soon, it transformed into rain, nourishing the grass, irrigating the trees, and nurturing the crops. The little speck of dust had finally realized its wish, but it did not stop there. Instead, it joined a stream, strengthening its flow. The tiny specks shouted together, "Let us go and help even more people!"
In our real lives, if we could be like this little speck of dust—possessing an unyielding spirit and a heart of service—the world would be free of war and strife, leaving only peaceful coexistence and endless joy!
