46. When tears fall, wipe them away yourself; when bitterness comes, swallow it yourself. Do not depend on the understanding or help of others. No matter how difficult the path, you must keep walking. You must endure life's hardships personally; only by pushing through can you become strong and achieve true success.
47. A concise life philosophy: Never underestimate yourself.
48. Those who see happiness only in the results experience fleeting joy; those who find happiness in the process enjoy a lifetime of contentment.
49. If you are too afraid of failure to take a leap of faith, you will never succeed.
50. As Zen Master Yichan of the Lingquan Sect once wrote in poetry: "Fine jade is hidden within rough stone, and lotuses rise from the mud; one must emerge from afflictions to realize Bodhi."
51. Sometimes, you must let go to understand whether something is truly worth having.
52. One should live like water: colorless and pure, making the world easy when the heart is clear; tasteless and calm, making everything seem empty when the mind is enlightened; desireless and strong, when the heart finds peace, everything becomes effortless.
53. The inner self is like a mirror, reflecting not just others, but also oneself. Do not add complexity to life with negativity; if you remain positive, life will become more expansive.
54. Walking along the road, we listen to and marvel at others' stories, often forgetting their fictional elements. We might recount these stories repeatedly as if they were the ultimate truths of life, mistakenly believing that what we have been searching for is hidden within those beautiful tales.
55. Time flows like a stream, and years pass like sand in an hourglass. The wind remains gentle, and the clouds remain light. Looking back at the past—whether beautiful, sorrowful, joyful, or sad—it all folds into a yellowed parchment with the turning of the seasons. The world seems as hazy as smoke and as blurred as rain. But smoke and rain are merely illusions of the mind; the world remains the same, and humanity remains unchanged.
56. Can sorrow and grief change anything? Can they bring back what is gone? Wandering through the lights and shadows of the world may offer a momentary escape from worries, but after enduring the passing seasons, one eventually grows weary of such fleeting distractions.
57. Act for the sake of righteousness, not for reward; uphold justice without seeking profit. Nowadays, many study for fame and fortune, but how many study for the rise of their nation? Historically, scholars have held high status, and their words often carry a profound influence.
58. We must remember: health is happiness. Many struggle with poor health, which brings physical and mental inconveniences, pressures, and feelings of inadequacy. To live in this world, one must learn to adapt to society and life, master self-regulation, and learn to integrate into the flow of humanity.
59. Many seemingly unsolvable problems are not actually difficult. By using your intellect and having the courage to take risks and try new things, you can stand out from the crowd.
60. Life is like a book: birth is the cover, death is the back cover, and the content is yours to write.
