The song "Game the World" sings: "Why not play with the world, regardless of how much time is wasted?" This reflects a cynical and irresponsible attitude toward life. However, life teaches us that every moment is a test, and we must face each one actively. In our growth, we encounter countless exams: midterms, finals, entrance exams... These academic tests are merely tools to verify our knowledge. While we must approach them seriously to enhance our abilities, many overlook the "exams" on life's path due to a "playful" attitude. They use "gambling youth for tomorrow" as an excuse for complacency, wagering their time and youth, only to leave a wasted mark on their life's answer sheet and a disheveled appearance in the hall of life.
A Polish proverb says: "There are two ways of life: one is to decay, the other is to burn." Some choose decay, but many more choose to burn. They realize that life, the most precious thing, means fighting. Because life happens only once, it cannot be wasted. Marx worked tirelessly until his final moments; Lu Xun was writing just three days before his passing; Zhu Kezhen continued to record temperatures with trembling hands even in his final days. Even at the end, they were burning and fighting. In the examination hall of life, they seized every moment, making effective use of every minute and second. Life is not a short candle, but a torch we temporarily hold; we must make it burn brightly. Those who "play with the world" choose decay, while those who strive choose to burn. Facing the same questions, they deliver vastly different answers!
Life is an examination hall at every turn. From the moment you become a member of society, the exams begin. The God of Fate gives you blank exam papers and says: "Fill them well, enrich every page of your life; complete them until the very end."
The stage of life is colorful, and exams are everywhere. Never overlook simple matters or be indifferent to small tasks, for you are the master of your own destiny. I once read about a Japanese company recruiting staff. After multiple rounds, three top graduates remained. One received an email stating she was not selected, but it included a product voucher as a gesture of appreciation. Though saddened, she was moved by the sincerity and sent a brief thank-you email two days later. A week later, she received an official job offer. It turned out this was the company's final test: while others received similar emails, only she had replied with gratitude. By spending just two extra minutes, she secured her success.
Life is an examination hall at every turn. Every step, whether success or failure, is a test that tempers our will and talent. It serves as a constant reminder to walk our path well. May you walk with determination and brilliance.
