I am a student from a certain college, in a certain grade, department, and major. I come from a remote and underdeveloped mountain village in a certain town, county, city, and province. I am open-minded, gentle in character with a touch of humor, and I have strong teamwork awareness and a sense of collective honor. I am currently serving as a member of the Organization Department of the Student Union. I will explain my application from two aspects: family background and academic performance.
Family Background — "Even in poverty, one must have dignity"
I was born in a remote mountain village, and my family has always faced severe financial difficulties. Since childhood, my tuition fees were often not fully paid on time, which once made me feel very inferior. At the beginning of each semester, while other students held brand-new textbooks, I could only linger outside the principal’s office. However, my mother once said to me: "Child, don’t be afraid. Even if we are poor, we must live with dignity." From that moment on, I made up my mind to leave the mountains and change my fate. Although my family’s situation has not changed since I came to study here, I have gradually overcome my inferiority. With the help of the college, the trust of my teachers, and my own efforts, I believe I can continue moving forward and do better and better.
Study — "The sea of learning is boundless, but joy is the boat"
In this academic year, my GPA is 3.8, with a total score of 86.3, ranking first in my class. I always treat my studies with seriousness and diligence, striving for excellence. Although I am a girl, I never believe that gender limits academic ability. As the saying goes, "Only those who endure the hardest hardships can become the best of men," but I have never regarded studying as suffering; instead, I see it as enjoyment. The opportunity to continue studying at university is very precious to my family, so I cherish it deeply. Last year, I passed the Computer Level 1 exam and the English A-level exam. I am currently preparing for the CET-4 English exam and the "college-to-undergraduate upgrade" exam. I believe youth is limited and should not be wasted, so I am willing to give my all. With the support of my teachers and the college, I believe I will achieve greater progress and success.
