Inspirational essay: Success always comes after failure
If we encounter failure, we should not give up easily, because success often comes after failure.
— Preface
What is failure? Many people think failure is simply failure without deeper meaning. However, I believe failure is a state of lacking persistence and confidence. When we encounter failure, we should not give up, because success often follows closely behind. Many people experience failure but never achieve success, not because of failure itself, but because they lose faith in continuing forward. Failure is not terrible; what is truly terrible is losing the courage to face it and refusing to try again.
Once there were two brothers. The younger brother was intelligent and excellent from a young age, achieving near perfection in most things. The older brother, however, was an ordinary person and even performed below average in many aspects. The elder brother often faced failure in everything he did, but he never gave up. He always believed that one failure does not mean eternal failure.
In the high school entrance examination, the younger brother easily entered a key high school, while the elder brother achieved his first major success in life during that exam, which greatly encouraged him. In high school, the elder brother studied even harder, hoping to enter a top university. However, he failed this time, while his younger brother succeeded. Despite this, he did not give up. In university, he continued to study desperately, striving to catch up with others. He believed that when others studied, he studied harder; when others rested, he worked even harder.
After graduation, the younger brother successfully joined a company, while the elder brother gave up a guaranteed job opportunity and chose to venture into society on his own. In the following three years, he experienced countless hardships. He worked as a miner, waiter, porter, and took on various physically demanding jobs, facing great suffering and challenges. Meanwhile, his younger brother worked steadily in the company and lived a relatively comfortable life.
