26. To live the life you desire, you must have the courage to make sacrifices. The world is not always fair, and perfection is rarely attainable. If you seek freedom, you must sacrifice security. If you seek leisure, you cannot chase the achievements expected by others. If you seek joy, you must stop caring about how others treat you. If you seek progress, you must leave your current place of comfort.
27. Do not waste excessive time worrying about the hurts you have received, and do not dwell on questions like "Why did this person play such a prank on me?" Some people may intentionally embarrass you because they feel threatened or want to punish you for a perceived wrong; others simply have a habit of such behavior without considering the harm caused. There is no need to dwell on whether their intentions were malicious.
28. We often unconsciously choose the wrong partners, the wrong marriages, or the wrong careers, thereby leading ourselves into various life dilemmas. Mysteriously, life's dilemmas are as inevitable as the sun rising in the east and setting in the west; they do not change based on our choices. Different choices merely bring different degrees of hardship. All we can do is accept the reality.
29. Live with your heart, rather than being consumed by worry and anxiety. When the mind is lost, there is suffering; when the mind is enlightened, there is freedom. A kind heart is heaven; an evil heart is hell. If your concepts are incorrect, your actions will not be righteous; if your perspectives are skewed, your deeds will be flawed. One must learn to remain unshaken by external trials and maintain inner stillness amidst movement.
30. "Lian" (恋) is a powerful character; its upper part is derived from the "bian" (变) in "biantai" (变态), and its lower part from the "tai" (态) in "biantai" (变态)...
31. Even if a single star falls, it cannot dim the brilliance of the starry sky; even if a single flower withers, it cannot desolate the entire spring.
32. Only by responding to resentment with virtue can all grievances be truly resolved. Use morality to inspire, rather than harboring hatred; repaying resentment with resentment will never turn an enemy into a friend.
33. The paths closest to you are often the most difficult; even the simplest melody requires the most rigorous practice.
34. People often use the known to judge the unknown, and accept flawed reasoning as correct "conclusions."
35. Warmth is the drizzling spring rain; it is the smile on a face; it is the unhesitating response; and it is the meticulous cooperation.
36. Life itself is already full of vicissitudes; if we cannot provide ourselves with hope, it would be too cruel. May our souls find warmth and solace.
37. A poor person may not seek you, and a lazy person may not need you. Do not judge people by appearances, do not act with falsehood, do not live to waste time, and do not let your waiting become a burden to others.
38. Reality is life, but life is not strictly defined by reality.
39. Tolerance is a virtue, a personal charm formed through repeated trials and patience. In social interactions, a tolerant heart is like a beam of sunlight, bringing warmth to others. By basking in the light of tolerance, we learn how to view life. Nothing in this world is perfect; everything has its flaws, and perfectionism itself is an incorrect attitude toward life. Therefore, being tolerant toward people and things is actually teaching oneself how to live better.
40. Keep your heart clean and tidy, so that those who enter feel comfortable.
