In the eyes of the ancients, hearing, seeing, knowing in the heart, and practicing are the four ways of perceiving things, with 'practicing' being the most crucial. This is because practice not only verifies the knowledge gained through the first three methods but also deepens one's understanding and grasp of that knowledge.
Mastering a skill is no easy feat; even to be a connoisseur, one must observe real objects rather than merely discussing theories. One must read extensively to write with mastery. Without the accumulation of experience, no great achievement can be reached in any endeavor.
Had Wei Shu not listened to Zheng Xiu's 'kind advice,' she would not have met the tragic end of being neglected by King Huai. Zheng Xiu managed to eliminate her rival while gaining the King's favor because she perceived Wei Shu's inner thoughts and advised her according to her emotional needs. While it appeared she was helping Wei Shu gain favor, she was actually undermining their relationship.
Between men and women, besides love, there is also sacrifice and the duties one should fulfill.
One day, a wife asked her husband to list six of her flaws so she could become a better person. The husband thought for a moment and said, 'Let me think about it. I will tell you tomorrow morning.'

Seeing the situation, Dou Gu ordered his subordinates to withdraw the soldiers from one exit, leaving only the other. The subordinates were puzzled: 'General, the enemy is surrounded and cannot escape, even with wings. Moreover, there are only a few hundred of them! If we attack for a few more days, we can certainly annihilate them. Why do you want to let them escape?' Dou Gu replied, 'It is not to let them escape. Now that they have no retreat, they will fight desperately. Furthermore, the valley is lush with vegetation and has abundant water, so they won't die of thirst. If we drag this out, even if we ultimately win, our casualties will be heavy. Therefore, we let them out so we can strike them down during the pursuit.'
Managers should never complain about low employee execution, as it is often related to the manager themselves. Life is short, so there is no need for regret. If it is beautiful, call it wonderful; if it is bad, call it an experience. Forget all worries and live each day happily.
If you long for a steady relationship, do not seek something heart-wrenching or wildly passionate. Instead, hope for an ordinary life and a simple existence. As long as you can stay by each other's side quietly, with tender gazes meeting in smiles, it is like drinking a glass of plain water—sufficient to satisfy life's needs.
Live with intention, rather than with anxiety or worry. A confused mind leads to suffering, while an enlightened mind leads to freedom. A kind heart is heaven; an evil heart is hell. If one's concepts are improper, their actions will be wrong; if their concepts are biased, their deeds will be erroneous. One should learn to remain unshaken by external events and maintain inner peace amidst movement.
Instead of gazing at the distant future, focus on what is at hand and spend today joyfully and productively, for only today is truly real.
If thoughts are seeds, they will grow in some soils and die in others. Therefore, those who sow thoughts must first study the soil.
Do not speak recklessly, do not take medicine blindly, do not cut down trees indiscriminately, do not stand in the rain unnecessarily, do not strike people in anger, and do not release emotions thoughtlessly.
There are two types of people: the first is 'boiled hard,' losing their dreams and vitality; the second is 'boiled soft,' becoming like mush that simply conforms to rules and circumstances.
Relatively speaking, everyone has the chance to encounter luck; it depends on whether you grasp it firmly and strive for it with all your might.
Forgetting oneself, focusing on your work, and maintaining a composed mindset are the keys to overcoming nervousness and inferiority.
