Set your ambition early; with ambition comes hope.
Society is full of competition, and universities are no exception. Success in competition depends on one's own strength.
If you constantly think about who you dislike and who shares your interests, you are mistaken. Instead, you should focus on how to be accepted by others, rather than only choosing who you accept.
In dealing with people, you must position yourself correctly. Do not always see yourself as someone important, a leader, or a wealthy figure, nor should you be overly self-satisfied. Even if you achieve success, remain humble and modest, for everyone ultimately reaches the same end; it is only our perception that complicates life. As the saying goes, do not take yourself too seriously.
Remember: you may trust others, but you should not rely on them. Do not reject goodwill, and do not stop smiling. You may make mistakes, but do not repeat them. Criticism should be accepted, though not blindly followed. Speak when you should speak and stay silent when necessary—this is wisdom. Act when needed and step back when appropriate—this is insight. Show yourself when appropriate and hide when necessary—this is maturity.
The past is an illusion, the future is a dream; only the present truly matters.

Understanding oneself is the most important lesson in life.
