Whether in health or sickness, one should live every day with passion. A cancer patient, in following the journey of lemmings towards death, realized the true essence of life: There is no need to fear death, for life and death are both integral parts of existence.
Do not dwell on a friend's flaws, do not reveal their secrets, and do not hold onto their mistakes. A true friend is not one who charms you with honeyed words, but one who offers honest counsel. True friendship is not about mutual demands, but about doing everything possible for one another. Many who appear to be friends are not, while many true friends do not always seem like such. Friendship is rare in this world, and equal friendship is even harder to find.
Once in a lifetime, one must witness scenery that stirs the soul: snow-capped mountains, lush grasslands, azure lakes, and the vast, boundless sky. One glance is a fairy tale, another is the horizon, settling in the heart like a dream. I am not greedy; I only hope that current friends remain unchanged and that we can gather again in the future—unconcerned with wealth or fame, drinking heartily and eating joyfully, forgetting pain in those carefree days. When we grow old, we shall embrace each other under the twilight, looking back at memories together.
Whether it is right or wrong, there is no need to distinguish; whether it is honor or disgrace, do not dwell upon it; whether it is love or hate, there is no need to untangle; whether it is success or failure, do not care. Even the grand history of thousands of years is swept away by wind and rain, so why worry about the trivial grievances and gains of an individual? Why not sit lightly upon the shoulders of drifting clouds and laugh at the thousand-year stories of the human world? Pluck a scent of morning fragrance to give yourself a season of sweetness; let go of the past and greet the rising sun with a renewed, tranquil spirit.
