Three people set out together: one carried an umbrella, One carried a walking stick, and the third carried nothing. Upon their return, the one with the umbrella was soaked to the bone, the one with the walking stick had fallen and been injured, while the one with nothing remained perfectly fine. It turns out that when the rain came, the one with the umbrella walked boldly and thus got drenched; when walking on muddy paths, the one with the walking stick walked recklessly and frequently stumbled; but the one with nothing avoided the rain and walked cautiously on the bad roads, remaining unscathed.
