I am a student in the Department of Transportation Engineering and come from an ordinary farming family in Ningxiang, Changsha. My family consists of six members, and agricultural income is our sole source of financial support. In recent years, the tuition expenses for my brother and me, along with my grandparents' medical costs, have placed considerable financial pressure on our family. Fully aware of the value of this educational opportunity, I have maintained a positive attitude since entering the college, held myself to high standards, and worked hard to balance my studies and responsibilities while striving for all-around development. I would like to present my personal circumstances as a reference for your review.
The past year of university life has been an extremely important stage in my personal growth. During this period, I have made significant progress in my academic performance, personal development, and overall abilities. My achievements and conduct have earned recognition and appreciation from both teachers and fellow students.
In terms of personal development and values, I actively pursue self-improvement and have established a positive outlook on life and strong moral principles. During my freshman year, I formally submitted an application expressing my commitment to personal growth and higher standards. I consistently study relevant theories, stay informed about national development and social changes, and continuously enhance my sense of responsibility and self-discipline.
Academically, although university life offers greater independence, I have always maintained a diligent and rigorous approach to learning. Over the past year, I ranked first in my class in two consecutive final examinations and received the college's Second-Class Scholarship twice. My moral evaluation and comprehensive assessment scores have consistently remained at a high level. In addition, I successfully passed both English and computer proficiency examinations with excellent results.
