Life offers choices; at the very least, we can choose our way of living. It is not that we lack ability, but rather the courage to step out of our own circles. Believe that you are no less than anyone else; what others can achieve, you can too, for we lack nothing that others possess.
Even with promises kept for a thousand years, we are ultimately but passing travelers in life, adding color to longing without being each other's tomorrow. Through the dust of the mortal world and the complexities of fate, even lifetimes of entanglement cannot overcome the bitterness of forgetting. Who is left to ask about those eternal vows?
A strong person who conquers their weaknesses is superior to a weak person with no flaws; a diamond with a flaw is far more valuable than a perfect brick. When the world faces its beloved, it sheds its vast mask and becomes small—as small as a song, as small as an eternal kiss.
Adversity and prosperity are distinctions made by ordinary people. If you are obsessed and restless, you are in adversity; if you let go and find peace, everything is prosperity. People's judgments are fickle: work too fast and you are showy; work too slow and you are lazy; work neither fast nor slow, and you are unenthusiastic. Love is essentially a habit—you become accustomed to their presence, and they become accustomed to yours. Kindness is an eternal spring, a light in the dark night, and the sunshine of the spiritual world. The most precious virtue of being human is kindness.
