As long as you are on the road, no destination is out of reach. In the future, you only need to be better than one person: your current self.
Observing more can increase wisdom, while speaking too much can only bring misfortune.
Light creates our shadows. It stays with you through both sorrow and joy. However, you often focus only on your own emotions while ignoring the feelings of your shadow. It accompanies you every step of the way; it is your most loyal companion on every path. Regardless of right or wrong, gain or loss, it follows silently. One day, when you find yourself pitying your own shadow, both of you will no longer have the strength to return to the past.
People say that among all journeys, the longest is the road home. Guests marvel at the flowers year after year; a few thin horses halt at the sound of hooves. Looking around as the setting sun nears the home-bound gate, frost climbs upon the temples of one's parents. Have they ever thought of a wanderer's longing? That year, the elder sister leaned by the window, still embroidering her wedding clothes; now, a toddler stumbles by the bed. Is there someone to take him to find clams by the river, where clear waters flow over stones? The hometown murmurs with the sound of flowing water; the ancestral hall's stone steps are covered in moss. Has it been rebuilt with new beams? Have the swallows that once nested on the roof flown away? Once, the young and old sat together in harmony, chatting and laughing; in a flash, all youthful spirit fades. A golden goblet cannot replace the simple tea of the past; the road home is what tugs most at the heart. Let me finish this journey.
Do not linger in the memories of the past, and do not let yesterday's rain dampen today's journey.
Do not over-expect, do not assume, and do not force. Let nature take its course; if it is destined, it will surely happen.
Causality has never owed us anything, so please do not complain.
