"Fate" is an excuse for the unsuccessful, while "luck" is a humble term used by the successful. Since pursuing wealth reasonably and legally is a natural and justifiable endeavor, how can one quickly achieve their goals and acquire the wealth they dream of? Following Sima Qian's perspective, one can achieve this through diligent business activities, as commerce is one of the most efficient paths to wealth.
Regardless of one's past, anyone who stands up for justice at a critical moment has entered the ranks of heroes. Fighting against criminals, protecting national property, and devoting oneself to righteous causes require timing, courage, and a fearless spirit—qualities not everyone possesses daily—yet everyone has the opportunity to become a hero in life. A true gentleman maintains dignity in both prosperity and adversity, remaining optimistic through all circumstances.
In life, we should practice four principles: "Wu Yi" (do not assume), meaning we should not rely on subjective imagination but rather see things as they truly are; "Wu Bi" (do not insist), acknowledging that life is unpredictable and things may not go as planned, so we should remain relaxed and act with a clear conscience; "Wu Gu" (do not be rigid), leaving room for flexibility to avoid extremes; and "Wu Wo" (do not be egoistic), letting go of the "self" to judge matters and people objectively.
People love the sun because it provides light and heat selflessly; people love flowers because they bloom to beautify the world. A person who possesses a kind heart and performs good deeds will always be welcomed. Only by being kind to others and overcoming suspicion can one earn genuine sincerity and affirmation from others.
Many things begin well, but the true challenge lies in perseverance. This is why so many people fail to finish what they start. Wisdom comes from knowing, confusion from error, pain from loss, and peace from patience. It is easy to criticize others, but difficult to examine oneself.
