If you ask us what we possess, we would proudly say—we possess youth! However, merely having youth is not enough. We should cherish it, seize it, and let it shine brilliantly.
Many think youth is just about a pleasing appearance and a healthy body, but it also encompasses an open mind and active thinking. As the saying goes, "To have youth is to have a great fortune." Yet, youth is finite, and if not treasured and seized, it will inevitably fade. As Guo Moruo once said, "In life, nothing is more precious than youth, yet it is also the most fleeting." This shows how valuable youth is. To live it without regret, we must grasp the present.
So, how do we seize the present? For those of us in the stage of seeking knowledge, it means continuously acquiring scientific and cultural knowledge, enriching ourselves. Unlike some students who spend their time online or focusing on romance, which wastes precious youth, we should prioritize learning. Romance is not appropriate for our age, so why waste our valuable youth on it? A famous saying goes, “Youth is limited, wisdom is infinite; use your fleeting youth to learn endless wisdom.” Indeed, cherish youth, seize it, let it be fulfilling through study and refining through challenges.
Youth gives us a mission: to keep learning. Studying has always been arduous. As the ancients said, "Ten years of diligent study," only by enduring hardships and loneliness can one achieve success. Yet, some students avoid this effort, seeking pleasure, socializing, and indulgence. They may believe they are happy, free, and romantic, but such joy is fleeting. If this continues, only regret and sorrow remain. The greatest tragedy in life is to waste youth. We must study diligently while young, so that we live our youth without regret and honor our time.
Youth is like a flowing stream, cheerfully moving forward; youth is like blooming flowers, exuding enchanting fragrance. Youth is infinitely beautiful—let us cherish it!
