Stay unperturbed by honor or disgrace, watching flowers bloom and fall in the courtyard; remain indifferent to coming or going, watching the clouds roll and unroll in the sky.
Life requires patience. Beauty and ugliness, good and bad, are all matters of inner perception. Many things can be resolved by yielding or letting go; there is no need to be uncompromising.
