The wind blows through the building, making one sway; one wonders if it's the flower's sorrow. A smile masking tears, a lingering melancholy like landscape and water, a journey stretching mile after mile. The road may end, but the depths of the heart are hard to traverse. Sweet dreams wake easily, and sorrowful wine intoxicates easily; stumbling steps and long-lasting weeping are hard to disperse. Knotted hearts are but self-inflicted wounds, having nothing to do with the moon, the wind, or the rain; it is merely self-inflicted grief. Once thought that being overly emotional was heaven's lack of mercy, only to realize today that one's own intoxication comes from within, not the wine. Every night, waking from a sudden sleep, staring at the long dark sky, one is filled with confusion. When feelings settle, the moonlight grows weak, adding to the hazy melancholy. A shroud of sorrow, indifferent human affairs; a bout of wind and rain, a warm heavenly heart. Unfathomable, how can this life escape the entanglement of sorrow? For what reason in a past life is this life so restless? Looking up at the sky, one asks: when shall we meet again under the moon and flowers?
After a certain age, there is no need to feel inferior before children who flaunt their youthful bodies; they often take themselves very seriously, while you are simply moving through life with a different perspective.
Those who want to take you home will find every direction convenient. Those who wish to eat with you will enjoy every flavor, sweet or bitter. Those who want to see you will always be available 24 hours a day. Those who want to help you will find every possible way to do so. If someone likes you, you can be however you are; if someone doesn't, no matter what you do won't matter. If others don't take you seriously, why should you keep them in your heart? Let us encourage each other!
A Zen master asked: "Which do you think is better, a piece of gold or a pile of mud?" The seeker replied, "Of course, gold!" The Zen master smiled and said, "What if you were a seed?" Perhaps, by changing your perspective, you will find liberation.
