How strong are you? It is a difficult question to answer, regardless of whether you are a man or a woman. But what I really want to ask is: how do you define your strength? How do you know your limits? How do you know the true extent of your potential? When pressure mounts, we often discover that we are much stronger than we ever imagined.

What is strength? Strength is not always about pure physical power; rather, it is about willpower, discipline, and drive. It is the capacity to get things done. I know people who are intellectually gifted but accomplish very little in their professional lives. Conversely, I know others who face extremely challenging tasks yet are able to move mountains through sheer drive and hard work. They possess true inner strength.

More interestingly, these highly productive individuals often don't even notice the heavy load they carry. Bystanders are not only amazed but often ask, "How do you do it?" The answer is usually, "I just work harder than others." So, why are some people able to achieve more? What provides them with that extra drive and strength? Could it be that they have simply given themselves permission to do more?

Self-imposed limits. From my observations, most people impose limits on themselves. They restrict their output based on self-framed constraints of their perceived capabilities. Sometimes these boundaries are built on past experiences, sometimes on perceived capacity, and sometimes they are based on nothing at all. We say, "I can't do that," "This is too much for me," "I can't put in that much effort," or "I'm not smart enough to solve this." But if you haven't tried, how can you be so sure?

How do we break through these limits and become stronger? By pushing ourselves. Many people are merely going through the motions, nowhere near their actual limits. If you want to grow stronger, you must push your boundaries. Pushing yourself is what it takes to expand your limits. Bodybuilders discovered this long ago in the gym, and the same principle applies to inner strength: discipline and drive. To test your limits, you must push yourself. Test your self-perceived constraints to see how accurate they truly are. Set goals that are slightly beyond what you believe is achievable.

You are stronger than you think. Most people underestimate their own strength. As you navigate your daily life, challenge your capacity and test your limits. Push yourself to find your true boundaries and define your strength. When you discover how much you are truly capable of, you may even surprise yourself. What are your self-imposed limits?
