It is never easy to truly understand and know oneself. Without clear self-awareness and a proper understanding of society, people often become vulnerable to setbacks and failures, leading to pessimism, disappointment, complaints, and confusion. Some may even waste their lives in negativity. Therefore, it is essential to recognize oneself early and objectively to avoid squandering time.
A wise person respects others, which is ultimately a form of self-respect; a foolish person harms others and, in doing so, harms themselves.
Only seeing new waves pushing old ones forward, one should realize that the new often surpasses the old.
Do not be overwhelmed by life’s troubles. Passing clouds over endless mountains are but illusions. There is no need to dwell on past glory or overly expect future brilliance. Life is simply the road beneath your feet—plain and real. All we need is to face difficulties with a smile and move on, starting over if necessary.
Life is full of uncertainty, and we can never know what comes next. Thus, we may as well live like a skilled actor, fully immersed in every role: laugh freely when it is time to laugh, cry fully when it is time to cry, love passionately when it is time to love, and hate completely when it is time to hate. Through life’s ups and downs and busyness, we must preserve sincerity and conscience. Whether poor or struggling, we should treat others sincerely; whether wealthy or successful, we must not lose our moral integrity. Not every sincere effort leads to a perfect ending, and not every encounter becomes a lasting landscape.
When reading, only a calm mind can grasp deeper understanding; when cultivating oneself, only a pure intention can approach the true way. Focus and restraint of desires are essential for moral development. Learning lies in insight, and cultivation lies in authenticity.
In labor, when you encounter incomprehensible phenomena and feel confused, truth may already be quietly standing before you.
In adversity, learn to build confidence; in hardship, learn patience. From trivial matters, develop attention to detail; from major changes, learn composure. It is through these experiences that true strength is formed and grows.
