Live for yourself, while also considering others. The work we do is not merely being a teacher, a worker, a merchant, or a leader; we are in the "people business." As social beings, we cannot exist in isolation. True success requires both realizing one's self and being considerate of others. A person's starting point determines their words and actions, which in turn shapes how others perceive them and ultimately decides their success or failure. Since no one can avoid interacting with others, it is nearly impossible to achieve one's goals without considering the needs of others.
There are no successful businesses, only successful people. Thinking of others is not easy, but not doing so is even harder. Successful people have tried every shortcut, which is why they know the only real shortcut is "following the proper steps." Do not be impatient; rushing to get what you want often leads to hurting others and ultimately failing to achieve your goal. A true wise person has the courage to live out their own brilliance while never forgetting to think of others.
Always surround yourself with those more successful than you. If you are the most successful person in your circle, you will likely not become more successful. Do not fear interacting with great figures. The most successful people are often the easiest to get along with. When you are around top achievers, you more easily learn superior success principles and traits. The success of winners either provides immense motivation or immense pressure to ordinary people. The only difference between a winner and an ordinary person is that they did something more or something different. By being with champions, you naturally become a champion; if you stay among the mediocre, you will eventually become mediocre yourself.
Success is giving your all every single moment. Our lives are a continuous series of lightning-fast challenges as we pursue the most magnificent and beautiful future for our lives.
To pursue success, you must believe in success. Only with faith in success will you give your all every moment rather than just occasionally. The difference between success and failure is often just that tiny margin. What others think is irrelevant; what matters is whether you believe it is possible. Living your own life is worthwhile, yet many people live through the eyes and mouths of others, giving up control over their own lives.
Destiny is the accumulation of daily life; small things are the keys to great achievements. We cannot control destiny, but we can plan our time and manage our daily actions. The accumulation of all these things constitutes a person's destiny. In this sense, everyone is the screenwriter, director, and protagonist of their own life. We have the right to script our lives to be magnificent, the responsibility to direct them to be gripping, and the obligation to perform them in a way that is extraordinary and unique. We possess this great right—the right to choose.
Start succeeding by smiling constantly, even if it seems foolish. When you try to control things that are beyond your control, you have essentially lost control. You cannot control everything, but you can absolutely control your own mood.
Successful people must practice self-motivation. Motivation is not a gift from others, but a game you play with yourself. I demand that I always think about problems from a positive perspective. Everyone can focus on what they want rather than what they fear. As Anthony Robbins says, "Because I am afraid, I must act immediately—run toward the direction I want!"
If you want it, you are destined to get it. Never think about what you don't want, otherwise, you may surely get it; always think about what you want, and you will surely obtain it. Many things seem complex, but once you make up your mind, they immediately become simple. Success is not a question of "can or cannot," but a question of "want or don't want." If others can do it, so can I.
Determination—intense determination. Only a heart decided to change can help you face success. The reason you are still merely thinking about success is that your current situation hasn't driven you into a corner yet. You must make yourself intensely afraid of your current state; otherwise, like a frog in a pot of warming water, you may eventually find it too late to escape the inevitable.
