Life is filled with countless passersby who come and go, brushing past each other like a dream, leaving nothing behind. In an instant, all connections arise and fade. All dreams require steady effort in reality. When we realize a dream cannot be achieved, we may turn to more practical goals instead.
Be more tolerant and generous. With a wave of the hand and a smile, let all unhappiness fade away. Because there is nothing we can do, we let things take their course; because there is nothing to rely on, we adapt to whatever comes.
Overdrawing physical strength can be restored with rest; overspending money can be balanced with better income and saving; but once trust is overdrawn, no amount of effort or money can restore it.
