A monk once asked Zen Master Jing: "Why are the enlightened ones never confused?"
Peace is luck, contentment is blessing, a pure heart is prosperity, and limited desires lead to longevity. In dealing with matters, seek no fame; having no faults is achievement itself. In being a person, seek no gratitude; having no resentment is virtue. A person's heart: many desires make it narrow, few desires make it wide. It is better to be happy in poverty than to be troubled by wealth gained through corruption. If one avoids doing things that cause distress, there will be no one in the world who harbors resentment. When thoughts grow deep, one should retreat; when success is at its peak, one should rest. Do not exhaust your momentum, do not consume all your blessings, do not take every advantage, and do not use up all your cleverness.
Some people are irreplaceable, and some memories can only be made beautiful by you. Like the warmth of a cup of coffee that allows a heart to settle in the deep night, listening to the echoes of the past. Often, we do not lose connection due to busyness; rather, busyness becomes an excuse that causes us to lose ourselves. A lost life and lost beliefs leave us with many regrets.
Simplicity is the composure and calmness within. Do not demand too much from life. There are successes and failures, gatherings and partings; no one can hold all the power. One cannot have both the fish and the bear's paw; this is life's inevitability. A mature person faces imperfections calmly, without forcing or obsessing. Do everything you can, and then accept fate. Pursuing perfection is a beautiful ideal, but accepting imperfection is a beautiful mindset.
If they no longer love you, cry and turn away. You might run while looking back, hoping they are still watching, making your running seem as though it were for them. However, as you run, you drift further away, eventually stopping the tears and the love. You are running for yourself. Every heartbreak and every tear shed makes you stronger. When you become strong, you will meet those who are even stronger; when you become better, you will deserve better.
Instead of gazing at a vague distance, it is better to first handle the clear tasks at hand. In life, knowing what you truly need is more important than possessing billions in wealth.
Within ten steps, there must be fragrant grass. Yet, the greatness of a hero is often difficult to measure by distance or the density of time.
Relatively speaking, everyone has the opportunity to be lucky; it depends on whether you grasp the opportunity and strive with all your might.
Do not hide illness from a doctor; hiding it only harms yourself. Attempting to hide a serious illness only to seek spiritual solace when it is too late only hastens the end.
