Master Hongyi once said: "If one follows conditions in life, one will live freely. When a person can remain content and not be swayed by circumstances, there will be no obstacles in the heart."
Do not waste time on those who do not love you. Youth is limited and should be devoted to those who understand and appreciate you. In relationships, passion brings only temporary joy, while responsibility brings lasting happiness. The reason love can be painful is that people often appreciate the one who treats them to ten meals, yet ignore the one who cooks for them for ten years; they neglect the one who truly loves them, and instead love the one who ignores them.
Life is not tiring because it is inherently so, but because we carry too many burdens and unspoken hardships. A restless mind leads to confusion. Clear water is worry-free because it flows naturally; fallen leaves have no regret because they are empty of attachment. Let go of obsessions, gaze at the moon at night, and walk calmly through the autumn wind.
Since it is time, it inevitably includes the changing seasons of prosperity and decline; since it is life, it inevitably contains love, hatred, joy, and sorrow; since it is living, it inevitably includes sweetness and bitterness. The length of life is no more than the cycle of seasons; its breadth cannot exceed the four directions; its uncertainty is nothing more than partings and reunions.
When a road seems blocked, learn to turn. As long as you are willing, a turn may open a new path. When your mood is low, learn to let go; once you release the past, happiness will arrive.
In life’s choices, there are always two paths. We often know in reason which one to take, yet most of the time we choose the other.
If you wish others to treat you well, first reflect on whether you have treated them the same way.
