Life is but a brief journey. In the midst of busyness and struggle, if we reflect carefully, how many sunrises and sunsets have we truly paused to appreciate during our moments of leisure?
We rush through the storms, coming and going in haste. We are always pressing forward through wind and rain, yet we never think to rest our weary feet to savor the dew gifted by heaven. Only when we have hurried to the finish line do we realize that our feet and bodies are already under unbearable pressure.
I once heard a saying: "People come into this world not to enjoy happiness, but to endure suffering." Although it is not a profound maxim, it has stood the test of generations, and this "theory" has been proven a "truth" through practice.
From the moment of birth, a cry accompanies the arrival of life. It is curious; people often wonder why newborns meet this "beautiful" world with weeping, offering their melodic cries as their first gift. One might venture to guess that perhaps they simply do not wish to enter this world to bear the overwhelming joys and sorrows. Yet, destiny is hard to defy; since it cannot be resisted, they can only express their protest in this manner.
As they grow to understand human nature and the ways of the world, they truly begin their long journey of repaying life's debts. Success brings a moment of joy and leaves behind a lasting legend. Failure, however, adds another stroke to the existing debt. A body already bowed by burdens is forced to shoulder even more, leaving behind nothing but helpless tears and the sweat of futility.
