What is a human being? Are we simply advanced animals? Is life truly so monotonous, moving from birth to kindergarten, primary school, middle school, high school, university, then work, marriage, raising children, and eventually aging and death? I believe everyone has a period they consider glorious, perhaps the day they get married.
From an ordinary perspective, I think everyone has a tendency to act tough. People are not born foolish; what we call innocence or simplicity may just be another expression of personality. Many times, you may understand things more clearly than others think you do, yet you choose to act as if you don't, because you do not want to damage the image others have of you, such as being seen as well-behaved or childlike.
I do not like being described as innocent or simple, and I dislike hypocrisy, flattery, arrogance, and those who ask questions they already know the answers to. You may think I am strange, but everyone has different personalities and habits. The world is becoming more realistic and increasingly worldly with time. A person's life will eventually fade, but I believe the footprints they leave behind will remain on the sands of time—something invisible to the eyes, but perceptible to the heart.
Sometimes, A careless decision can change one's entire life. You may simply not have done your best, yet the outcome can still be serious. Therefore, I believe in this principle: if you choose to do something, do it as well as you can, otherwise it will all be in vain. Life is only once; why not live it more fully and happily? I want to lay a solid foundation for my future, study hard, and pursue an extraordinary life of my own, creating my own possibilities.
