Life becomes vibrant and colorful precisely because of its bumps and obstacles.
Some things can be let go with a smile; others will, over time, also bring you to smile in relief. Life is never perfect. It contains bitter tears, regrets from missteps, hidden grievances, and lingering resentments. Yet life is also complete, allowing us to smile through tears, gain insight through regret, find joy within resentment, and grow love from hatred.
If you love someone, do not give them the chance to overthink. You may never realize how deeply someone who overthinks for you truly cares about you.
Can people truly ignore rumors, watch the rise and fall of life calmly, and face success and failure with ease? Perhaps we always appear smiling in front of others, but who can truly understand the tears behind that smile? After success or failure, we always look back. Even if we break many “tea cups” along the way, we still turn back, only differing in how long we linger. Because we are all ordinary people, with emotions and souls, experiencing gain and loss, weakness and strength. We sigh at life’s helplessness, yet also grow through it—this may be the meaning and value of life.
To live well is to do meaningful things; and meaningful things are simply living well.
Others may go against cause and effect, others may hurt or slander us, but we should not respond with hatred. We should often ask ourselves what we can offer others. If we cannot benefit others through our character and cultivation, it is as if we owe a moral debt.
Life is not like Lin Daiyu; it will not become graceful and sentimental simply because of sorrow.
If one can let everything follow its course, one becomes truly free. Peace comes from inner clarity; once one understands this nature, even life and death can be faced calmly.
Life is not without exhaustion, but rather weighed down by too many burdens and concerns. When the mind is unsettled, thoughts become chaotic; when thoughts are chaotic, the spirit is lost. Clear water is worry-free because it flows naturally; fallen leaves are regretless because they are empty within. Let go of attachments, and one can admire the moon at night and enjoy the autumn breeze.
