How to deal with people who "irritate" you? The entire process of practicing Buddhism is nothing more than the process of subduing the mind; this is the method that runs through the whole practice, and there is no other way. One must subdue one's own restless, impure, discriminating, hateful, and ignorant mind. By keeping the mind anchored in the "Dao," one views all sentient beings as Bodhisattvas, while realizing that only oneself is a mortal. Once this is achieved, there will be no one left to "irritate" you. A true practitioner, who does not dwell on the faults of the world and maintains inner peace, will bring peace to all beings.
