Flowers differ from stones; a flower can be plucked, but a stone cannot be taken away. Be steadfast when ignored, and remain calm when admired by many. The highest state of being is neither excessive modesty nor blatant showiness, but maintaining a consistent sense of dignity and poise. There is an emotion called longing; once encountered, it follows one like a shadow, becoming endless. "Dao" represents one's ideals and values, while "Mou" is the method used to realize them. Different lives and thoughts lead to different paths. Finding like-minded individuals among the masses is a true joy. People often unconsciously absorb the virtues of those they associate with, progressing through self-reflection. By interacting with the wise, one can elevate their own level even without conscious effort. If we continuously learn from their strengths and reflect on our weaknesses, our mental cultivation will steadily improve. We should have moments of pride without becoming arrogant, and moments of failure without losing courage. Life requires moderation; excess leads to disaster. One need not be overly intentional, nor should one strive for perfection. Do not seek excess in achievements; enjoy life like a flower in mid-bloom or wine in a gentle stupor. One may be lofty but must possess tolerance, otherwise, it becomes isolation. One may be kind but must be decisive, otherwise, it becomes weakness. One may be strong but must show reverence, otherwise, it becomes tyranny. If wealthy, practice frugality to avoid extravagance; if knowledgeable, practice humility to avoid pride; if noble, practice modesty to avoid arrogance. In all things, maintain balance: do not say everything, and do not go to extremes; always leave room for maneuver.
