A friend who makes you angry is often someone who truly cares about your friendship. Instead of being upset, you may feel grateful to have such a friend.
Since time exists, there will inevitably be cycles of warmth and coldness, prosperity and decline. Since life exists, love and hatred are unavoidable. Since living exists, sweetness, bitterness, sourness, and spiciness are all part of it. The length of life cannot surpass the changing seasons; the breadth of life cannot go beyond the four directions; the unpredictability of life is nothing more than the alternation of joy and sorrow.
A meaningful life is not defined by high status or great wealth, but by whether one can live happily every day, walk freely in the world, and move forward without burdens.
Flowers and applause can easily lead to pride, while ridicule and sarcasm may cause depression and discouragement. Gossip can bring anger and sadness, and emotional setbacks can lead to pain and loss. As the saying goes, remain unmoved by praise or blame, and watch the flowers bloom and fall in the courtyard; indifferent to gain or loss, observe the clouds in the sky. It is often in sleepless nights that one realizes longing exists, and only after dreams fade does one believe in the permanence of fate.
Everyone should have kindness and good intentions, but everything must be in moderation. As an old saying goes, a small favor can build gratitude, but excessive favor may breed resentment. One should understand the principle of moderation and apply it in life. Just as clouds are beautiful because of distance, when too close they become mist; similarly, human relationships require appropriate boundaries.
People with strong suspicion tend to be overly critical, fabricate issues, and distort normal situations. Excessive suspicion can disturb one’s mind and make it restless.
