A person in life will always go through periods of sorrow and joy, of meeting and parting, and also phases of youth, beauty, hardship, depth, innocence, maturity, worry, struggle, pain, and happiness. No matter which phase it is, no matter how ordinary or difficult it may be, there is always someone accompanying you—this companionship may not be temporary, but lifelong.
If you wish not to hurt others, the prerequisite is not to hold excessive expectations of them, and not to let them hold excessive expectations of you. The latter is often more difficult, as it requires you, at certain moments, to reveal your true stance without any concealment or pretense. Looking back, many difficulties and failures are merely dissonant notes in the song of time.
In life, there are many passersby. If they had not left, we might not have regarded them as scenery. Those who once promised lifelong friendship may eventually drift apart. Perhaps life is too short; in our pursuit of passion, love, dreams, and ambitions, we forget those who pass by us, and in the end, we become mere bystanders in each other’s memories.
We should not rush to demand all answers from life. Sometimes, patience is needed. Even when you call out into an empty valley, you must wait a moment before hearing the echo. Life will eventually provide answers, but not all at once. If you are willing to wait, beauty will arrive unexpectedly.
