The highest realm of honor is that you have left the worldly arena, yet your legend still lives on.
When the heart is small, every minor matter becomes big; when the heart is broad, every major matter becomes small. In big matters, one’s responsibility is revealed; in adversity or ease, one’s breadth of mind is tested; in emotions of joy or anger, one’s cultivation is shown; in gain and loss, wisdom is reflected; in success or failure, perseverance is revealed. Let things follow their natural course, remain calm in all situations, be indifferent in success, and composed in failure. Trials and hardships are inevitable; only through them can one gain true understanding. Drink pure tea and refrain from speaking ill.
In every detail of life—eating, sleeping, gardening, or feeding fish—there can be wisdom and awareness. Everyday life itself can become a form of spiritual practice.
In all endeavors, the same principle applies: those who endure emerge outstanding; those who cannot endure fall behind. This is life.
Life is beautiful because we choose to see it as beautiful.
Tears cannot accomplish anything for you.
Even if we stay together for a hundred years, we will eventually part.
Poverty itself is not shameful; it is simply a state of life, not a definition of a person. If regarded as a burden, it will obscure one’s inner light. Everyone has their own path, and there is no need to judge others.
Life is closely tied to choices. Do not focus on others and lose your own way. If you wish to live better, regard life as a drop of water—flowing freely, adapting to circumstances, and moving with ease.
The heaviest burden in life is clinging to what does not belong to you.
