We should not constantly dwell on what others owe us or what they can provide; instead, we should reflect on what we owe others and what we can contribute. Focusing solely on receiving breeds resentment and leads to a loss of self; however, living with gratitude and a spirit of giving enriches the soul and gives life greater meaning. Some people are etched into our memories forever; even if we forget their voices, smiles, or faces, the essence of the feeling remains unchanged. Conversely, many things we believe we will never forget often fade away during our periods of deep preoccupation. We feel mentally exhausted when we waver between persistence and giving up. Happiness does not reside in the past or the future; it exists only in the present. When the day comes that you can face past embarrassments or the people who once angered you with a tranquil heart, no longer stirred by emotion, and can let go of everything with a simple smile, that is true liberation. Men fear the wrong career, and women fear the wrong marriage. Many enter professions or choose partners in a state of confusion, but this is not the ultimate factor that defines a lifetime. Life is aimless without self-positioning; we should find a balance between contentment and achievement that suits us best. If following one path does not lead you to your destination, try another. Life is simple: just work hard, and then return home with your rewards. Heaven rewards virtue, benevolence, kindness, harmony, wisdom, and diligence.
