At a banquet, Mr. Churchill and his wife were sitting facing each other. One of Mr. Churchill's hands moved back and forth on the table, with his fingers curved towards his wife. Curious bystanders asked Mrs. Churchill, "Why is your husband looking at you so thoughtfully? What is the meaning of his moving his curved fingers back and forth?"
One day, a wife asked her husband to list six of his flaws so she could become a better person. The husband thought for a moment and said, "Let me think about it. I'll tell you tomorrow morning."
The past is in the past; do not let former relationships affect your current happiness. Blind honesty can sometimes plant seeds of trouble. A white lie is not deception; rather, it represents understanding and helping others maintain their dignity.
Zen Master Xiu Jing answered: "When it rains from the sky, it does not choose which tree to nourish; both flourishing and withered trees receive the rain."
To grasp oneself is to maintain a clear heart and a bright outlook. When viewing problems, try to stand higher and see further. When handling matters, learn to change perspectives and practice empathy. In conduct, be neither greedy nor envious; in worldly dealings, be neither flattering nor arrogant. Always maintain a calm mind, avoid extremes, and do not aim too high.
Understanding is a spiritual resonance, a selfless giving, a communion of souls, and the fragrance of souls gazing at one another. Understanding can turn distant lands into proximity and deserts into oases; it can touch the softest parts of the heart and make withered souls bloom with the flowers of time. All the past is worth cherishing; all experiences are forms of understanding. If you understand, please cherish it. Understanding is the most beautiful fate in life.
Some people have many opportunities to meet but always find excuses to avoid it, and by the time they want to meet, the opportunity is gone. Some things, once missed, remain missed for a lifetime. Life is a journey forward; those who see more scenery or walk extra steps on a rugged path find value in their existence. Life carries much regret and helplessness; there is no need to blame oneself too much. Give your soul some greenery and others a smile, regardless of the waxing or waning of the moon or the coming and going of fate. The most comforting thing is to wake up and find the sun still shines, you are still alive, and everything around you is still beautiful.
The best thing to do in summer: "林密知夏深,仰看天离离。荷气夜来雨,百鸟清昼迟。" In summer, many things are not suitable, but reading is. Read good books to quiet the mind and distance yourself from distractions. With a pot of green tea, savor the deep meaning in books and the colorful essence of life. In the act of reading and sipping tea, encounter a different version of yourself. Regardless of the chaos of the world, I only care about my moments of peace.
You want others to understand you, but all you get is misunderstanding, because understanding is a form of love, and without love, who would spend time understanding you? You want support, but often encounter resistance, because support entails shared responsibility. You want to be treated well, but often face hurt, because people tend to love themselves most. A soulmate is someone who understands, supports, and treats you well, simply because they love you.
When troubled, think about why you are troubled, and you will realize that most things are not actually major issues; we suffer because we dwell on them. Understand that everything that happens is meant to happen. Be grateful for the smooth times and reflect on the difficult ones, then let go. Life is short; do not live with regrets. If it's beautiful, it's wonderful; if it's bad, it's experience. Forget your worries and live happily every day.
Men choose long-term goals, while women choose the immediate; men choose happiness, while women choose peace of mind; men choose abstract, while women choose image; men choose freshness, while women choose preservation; men choose face, while women choose substance; men choose initiative, while women choose passivity; men choose hunting, while women choose gathering; men choose decisiveness, while women choose prudence; men choose secretaries, while women choose chairpersons.
Anything can be lacking, but your mood shouldn't be; anything can be lost, but your confidence shouldn't be; anything can be given up, but happiness shouldn't be.
Instead of gazing at the distant future, focus on the task at hand and enjoy a fulfilling today, for today is the only reality.
If something is incomprehensible, misunderstand it; if a distortion isn't enough, dissect it. Misunderstanding is the fate of geniuses, and dissection is the end of idols.
Anger often robs us of our reason and leads to foolish actions. In life, we must learn not to do anything in anger.

We often view trivial matters as significant because we have experienced too few setbacks.
Genius is simply when ordinary people occasionally focus their attention on one specific direction.
